If you are new to Isle of Palms and want to make sure you make the most out of your meals while on vacation, please allow us to tell you about a few places we LOVE!

Acme Lowcountry Kitchen--This place is outstanding. They specialize in fresh, locally sourced seafood served up in a laid back atmosphere. Their nightly specials are always a hit and the variety of shrimp and grit dishes they offer will not disappoint. They have been recognized for their use of locally sourced and sustainable seafood (which means you will not be eating previously frozen shrimp that have been imported from Asia.) Truly, this place is my personal favorite, hands down.  You can find them at:

31 JC Long Blvd
Isle of Palms, SC 29451

Long Island Cafe-- This is our other regular go-to. It's located on Palm Blvd right next door to the Harris Teeter. It's run by locals, Christiana and Ravi, and they make some of the most amazing seafood you'll find on this island. In fact, I have decided that their She-Crab soup is the best you'll find in Charleston! Also, the Pan-Fried Flounder is a must as are the crab cakes! Seriously, soooo good. It's fairly small and fills up every night so reservation are definitely recommended.

They can be reached at 843-886-8809.

Saltworks Dockside Deli--These folks serve up awesome burgers, sandwiches, salads and wraps. My favorite is their breakfast though. Fast, cheap and awesome. Try the breakfast wrap....as far as I can tell they take every breakfast item available and wrap a tortilla around it!! Located inside the Isle of Palms Marina Store on 41st avenue. Best part is getting to sit outside at the marina and enjoy your meal!

The Obstinate Daughter-- I'm not going to sugarcoat it, I tried to back out of going here because their menu lists a lot of things that I personally don't like and never have. HEAR ME NOW: Do not make that mistake. On no fewer than 5 occasions they have fed me things I thought I hated yet they made me LOVE it. That's an amazing feat in my book. They have a raw bar, fresh local seafood, amazing pasta and gourmet pizza. Plus, their Shrimp Roll (think Lobster Roll) is something I have to eat weekly. You can and must find them at : 2063 Middle St, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482

Morgan Creek Bar and Grill--This is a great place to have a cocktail, watch a sunset, play cornhole and get some good eats. They are located next to the Isle of Palms Marina on 41st avenue and they sit right on the Intracoastal Waterway. Wonderful views. They also have two kitchens. Casual food is served outside and on the top deck while upscale food is served inside.
